Step into the intricate world of family dynamics and the power of words with Wine Country Theatre's debut Reader's Theatre production of Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing.
Set against the backdrop of a private residence in Atascadero, our intimate theatre space provides the perfect setting for this compelling exploration of three generations of women and the intricate relationships that bind them together. Written to be performed with minimal sets and props, Eleemosynary delves deep into the lives of Dorothea, Artemis, and Echo - each grappling with their own desires, dreams, and conflicts.
Dorothea, the unconventional matriarch, seeks to break free from societal norms, while Artemis, her daughter, navigates the complexities of motherhood and career. Meanwhile, Echo, the youngest, finds solace in the world of spelling bees, where words become both her refuge and her battleground.
Join us for an evening of thought-provoking drama as we delve into the intricate dynamics of this extraordinary family. Eleemosynary is a celebration of language, exploring how words can both unite and divide, heal and wound.
