Singing has long been a part of Gretchen's life. She studied music and
singing throughout her youth and was very active in many school choral organizations including
District and Regional Choruses. In more recent years, Gretchen has continued to follow her joy
in singing with various local community groups. Gretchen first participated in the Cuesta College
Musical Theater Workshop this past spring and loves singing and performing with her fellow
workshop participants.
Gretchen is a Pennsylvania native who relocated to San Luis Obispo county in 2016 via Los
Angeles. In addition to being a mom to three adult children, she works as a hospitalist physician
at Twin Cities and Sierra Vista Hospitals and is devoted to serving our local community.
This is Gretchen's first appearance with Wine Country Theatre and she is thrilled and grateful to
be sharing the stage with such wonderfully talented local artists
of Schools.

began his singing experience when he was part of the quartet in the Unity SLO production of Music Man more than 20 years ago. After those first bell chords, he was hooked on barbershop singing as part of the Gold Coast Barbershop Chorus, and now as a lead with the Central Coast Chordsmen. Rick sang tenor in the barbershop quartet of the SLO Little Theater's production of Music Man, and then as lead with St. Joseph's Music Man production this past year. He is currently in rehearsal for the Coastal Voices Chorus' spring performance in May. This is his first production with Wine Country Theatre, and he is excited to be performing again with his daughter Katie Hofstetter. He lives in Atascadero with his wife Dixie. He recently retired and now has time to spend with his grandchildren: Connie, Skyler, and Aurora.
is honored to be on stage with WCT again. She was last seen typecast as grumpy Aunt March in Little Women. When not singing on stage, she can be found on a favored trout stream with flyrod in hand. Big Thanks to WTC for this opportunity to ham it up in Stay Tuned.
is excited to work again with Wine Country Theatre. She has been in many productions on the central coast. Some of her favorite roles include Lilly Saint Regis from Annie, Dorthy from Wizard of Oz and most recently Tessie Turra from Wine Country Theatre's Gypsy. When she isn't on stage she's enjoying being a parent and a wife and running the karaoke program at Cass Winery. Katie is grateful for her family's support so she could do this show. Cheers!
First and foremost, Cynthia wants to thank Plymouth Congregational Church - her 'home' that brings her light and friendship. Cynthia helped establish Wine Country Theatre eight years ago and has been our dynamic leader since day one! She has been busy, serving as Executive Director, Board Producer, and Thrift Shop Hunter Extraordinaire, in addition to performing and directing. For Wine Country Theatre, she was last seen in the 2020 production of Love Letters. Her directing credits for WCT include the inaugural show, It Had to Be You, Guys and Dolls, On Golden Pond, Fiddler on the Roof and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Cynthia also performed in the Cambria Center for the Arts Reader's Theatre production of It's Only a Play and Hiding in Plain Sight, a radio drama for Cherent Theatre. Cynthia earned a BA in Theatre Arts Performance and has performed in over forty productions, a few television shows and even a horrible movie called The Wormeaters. She studied with Stella Adler and was a member of the prestigious Group Repertory Theatre in North Hollywood. In addition to performing, she pursued a career in Arts Administration. Cynthia served as Executive Director for SLO Little Theatre, Pacific Repertory Opera, Pioneer Players, Classic American Theatre and as Arts Grants Coordinator for the SLO Community Foundation. Cynthia is also a credentialed teacher and taught Drama at Paso Robles High School, Nipomo High School and the Atascadero Fine Arts Academy. Best production she ever did was creating a family with her husband, Andy Anthony, M.D. They have three great adult children who constantly keep them laughing. Cynthia loves TV and wishes the show could be four hours to include all the songs. But, in the interest of time, chose the songs that best showcases the outstanding talent in STAY TUNED.
